"Panther" Stokely Carmichael's (Mario Van Peebles) Turtleneck and Jacket

Description

Acquired by the production for use in "Panther" (1995) for Mario Van Peebles's portrayal of "Stokely Carmichael." This is a two-piece ensemble consisting of a jacket, and a turtleneck. 

Obtained directly from Gramercy Pictures.

Includes Planet Hollywood Certificate of Authenticity.

Mannequins not included.

Jacket: Black leather jacket with pockets at either side of obverse waist. Black buttons at obverse closure. Interior lined in patterned black satin. Mismatched buttons on interior of closure.

Turtleneck: Long-sleeved black turtleneck of a spandex-type material. Inside the proper right sleeve is a wax paper label with production information typed and handwritten.

Condition

Jacket: Wrinkled throughout. Large hole in seam of reverse proper left shoulder. Pin holes with red staining in reverse. Wear in reverse of neckline. Large tears in interior neckline. Interior buttons are mismatched.

Turtleneck: Wrinkled throughout. Minor fuzz accretions. Minor white staining, esp. around bottom edge. Minor pin holes throughout. Interior label is wrinkled.
